A measuring instrument for indoor thermal environment has been developed. It can measure dry-bulb temperature, relative humidity, globe temperature, and wind speed for comprehensive thermal environment evaluation. An illuminance sensor was also added to estimate the behavior of office workers. The cost per unit is about 5,000 yen, and the size is palmsized to make it easier to increase the number of measurements. By reducing the power consumption, it is possible to make continuous measurements for about 25 days using only batteries. It is an open source hardware with all design documents made public.
