This paper is the research regarding rural KABUKI which is still observed its existence nowadays in Fukushima Prefecture as a target. The research area includes Minamiaizu Area, the southwest area of the prefecture where many rural KABUKI and theatres has been originated in previous Meiji Era and densely distributed. In this paper, we report the survey and the analysis of local resident consciousness, a factor which would have an influence on continuation of the performance activities of rural KABUKI hereafter, based on the characteristics of the districts and the villages where rural KABUKI has in existence.
