Abstract

This study aims to clarify the spatial composition of Katsura Rokurozaemon house, the headman of Niitsu village group. It was proved from the historical plan drawings. Three drawings were observed and analyzed in contents, characteristics and dates. The basic spatial composition was that “Tori” divides the house into north and south. The rooms of government part lined sideways, while the rooms of family part were lined up back and forth.
