The purpose of this paper is to clarify the characteristics of the greening space and the actual conditions of maintenance in the award-winning works of Okayama City’s award system. Most of the award-winning works that have green spaces had a function as an open space. The spatial characteristics of these works were organized in terms of scale, age, and spatial components. It became clear that even those works that were highly evaluated hasn’t been maintained and that the situation has been getting worse as the years passed.
