This article considers the wages of craftsmen described in the “Agatsuma shokuko kumiai kiyaku” in the “Gunma-ken Agatsuma shokuko kumiai kiyaku-syo” published in June 1887. The following points will be clarified. From this material, we can find out the wages of construction jobs and the artificial number of jobs in 1887. Under this agreement, carpenters, joiners, etc. could find a close relationship between wages and quantity per unit.
