We conducted disaster awareness survey among junior high school students and their parents and compared analyze the relationship between risk perception and countermeasure behavior regarding housing during an earthquake. Two results were obtained from the analysis. First, it was found that subjective injury probability had a more direct influence on coping behavior than subjective occurrence probability for both junior high school students and their parents. Second, it was found that risk perception in the coping evaluation did not influence the countermeasure behavior of junior high school students as much as that of their parents.
