The purpose of this study is to obtain suggestions regarding the development method of residential education classes in areas with local resources, and to show the educational effectiveness of the classes using local resources. As a result, we obtained five suggestions for the establishment, continuation, and dissemination of them, including the need for a clear class concept and a facilitator with a clear meaning of implementation. Moreover, the degree of achievement of the subject objectives and that of development of citizenship was good, and we concluded a derivation from “housing education” to “community development education” can be expected.
