This research shows the actual condition and issues of curators specializing in architecture & handling materials related to architecture and urban space in museum through analysis of a list covering nationwide museums and questionnaires to municipal museums in Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa. In particular, we showed the current situation that curators in another field are in charge of outreach activities outside the museum and cultural property preservation work in addition to the usual work inside the museum, and the necessity of curators specializing in architecture & the possibility of multi-stage cooperation of architectural experts.
