Abstract

Long-wave radiation is one of the most important factors affecting human thermal comfort within urban space. Especially in a severe hot environment, the contribution of long-wave radiation emitted from the hot ground and building walls to the sensible heat received by the human body is large. In the early phase of thermal environment design for buildings or urban spaces, it is required to rapidly estimate the thermal environment corresponding to the various proposal. However, a rapid-estimation method for a long-wave radiation environment has not been established. This study proposes a method for the rapid estimation of the long-wave radiation environment.
