Abstract

When heat pumps are used to produce hot water, higher efficiency can be expected by taking higher temperature air. In this paper, field measurements and CFD simulation are conducted to study the efficiency of the heat pump installed in the boiler room of district heating and cooling plant. In addition, improvement methods are proposed to prevent short-circuit air of heat pump on the basis of the short-circuit rate calculated by CFD simulation.
