This study clarifies locational relation between industrial land use and residential inducing area in local city. From the result of multi variable analysis for 35 industrial cities, there’re 7 locational patterns on geographical characteristics of industrial land use and the relation between industrial and settled area. By questionnaire for employers of industrial facilities which are located in industrial area in each city, employees’ typical settled area and commuting time are clarified as well as estimation on commuting environment by employers. Through series of analyses, it is considered important to intensify the proximity to work and residence and upgrade public transportation service.
