Architectural greening has become so ubiquitous that its limitations tend to be obscured. Roofs and walls are not necessarily as suitable for planting as grounds, and they increase the structural load and drains for buildings. As opposed to the typical greening with soil, sponge, felt, this research examines the potential usage of a culture medium grown upon 3D printed resin structures. The structures maintain the water and plants, while variegating the environment and facilitating the maintenance. The research proposes such a system by evaluating the soil moisture tension for the potential usage of both 3D printed structure and soil.
