抄録

This study clarifies locational relation between public housing (PH) and urbanized area formation, targeting Toyohashi, Ichinomiya, Toyota of Aichi prefecture. The followings are concluded. 80.4-87.8% of all PHs were built from 1950s by 1980, before including in DIDs. Former land uses of PHs were mainly farm or forest land, while some PHs in Toyohashi were converted from military land as characteristic exception. We can classify into 4 groups from locational characteristics and another 4 groups from urbanization influence. Most of all PHs were built in suburban pre-urbanized area and they lead urbanization in each surrounding area.
