Kerf bending is a method of reducing bending stiffness and facilitating bending by cutting slits or other notches in rigid plane materials. This study focuses on the Kerf bending technique for unidirectional bending and proposes a shape control method for active bending arch structures generated by the movement of supported points to achieve arbitrary target shapes. The effectiveness of this method is verified through some experiments and analytical studies.
