Abstract

Various factors such as cement type, curing method, age and mineral admixture affect hydration reaction of cementitious materials. In this study, we conducted the literature survey on the influence of these factors on bound water content, compressive strength and pore structure of hardened cement paste. As a result, it is difficult to indicate the relationship between bound water content and compressive strength or total pore volume with the same formula. However, compressive strength of hardened cement paste could indicate the same formula with total pore volume per unit volume and mass regardless of these factors, excluding mineral admixture.
