Abstract

This paper discusses structural design using a case study of a real six-story hybrid structure project that incorporates a bidirectional timber rigid structure with glued-in rod (GIR) joints. We will calculate the horizontal load-carrying capacity of Timber structures, which has not yet been systematically developed. We also conducted a tri-directional loading test on a full-scale specimen and found that the calculated values corresponded well with the experimental values. Furthermore, a time history response analysis was performed to verify that the design values for the structural coefficient were appropriate.
