The purpose of this study was to clarify the differences in how children perceive landscapes when they walk to school or when they take the bus. The survey method is a workshops targeting children who were switching from walking to taking the bus. The results showed that students who commute by bus tend to recall natural objects further away than students who commute by foot, and that these recalled places tend to be concentrated near the bus stop. Therefore, bus stops need to be developed as important bases for interacting with the local community.
