This paper proposes a guideline for design, fabrication, and quality control of buckling-restrained braces using steel mortar planks (BRBSM). Important items are extracted from design, fabrication, and quality control based on constructed buildings and previous studies, and are organized accordingly. Based on the results of tests using specimens fabricated in accordance with the proposed guideline and meeting the recommended design values, the structural performance of BRBSM can be evaluated as safe.
