This paper developed an educational program for architectural undergraduate students and examined the effectiveness. Firstly, the tracing works, practiced in the early stages of design and drafting classes, were explained to the students from the viewpoint of thermal environment, and deepened their understanding. After the field measurement of the thermal environment, proposed in the previous author’s study, the students redesigned their works, designed in the previous design and drafting class, taking thermal environment into consideration. Through these series of works, the students were encouraged to think about the relationship between architectural design and the environmental elements of the site.
