We focus on practicians for following two reasons. First, researchers and practicians don't communicate each other well. It's still been said about howto fill the gap between research and practice. Second, "propagation" from "development and propagation" of academics/arts/techniques is not enough since the collaboration between research and practice is not enough. Toward the first step to improve such circumstances, we decided to have hearings from practicians and discuss on the result. Specifically, we did a descriptive type questionnaire before the opening of a symposium of Earthquake- Engineering that Toyama branch of Architectural Institute of Japan held on the 2nd of September in 1995. Examining the result of this questionnaire, we found that we could collect caustic remarks from practicians that we discuss here. We would like to contribute for a viewpoint of " propagation and development" by analyzing the result somewhat unconventionally.
