Abstract
This peper investigates lectures relating to architectural programming (briefing) in the department of architecture, college of science and technology, Nihon University to point out problem of current education and consider nature of ideal education on the architectural programming in university. Since the "Tentative JABEE-AIJ Criteria for Architectural Education, 2002" reflecting the "UNESCO-UIA Validation system for Architectural Education, 2002" requires architectural student understand architectural programming, it might be worth to consider how to implement this new field into traditional system of architectural education in our country.
