抄録
The authors have investigated the damaged Chi-Chi area several times since the 1999 Chi-Chi Earthquake in Taiwan. In this paper, some conditions and processes of reconstruction are reported based on the obtained data sets, materials, and information. The contents concerned with reconstruction and life recovery are classified into 9 categories (general recent condition, public facilities, building damage and reconstruction, casualties, rent assistant, temporary houses, new town, development by private enterprises, and problems of land). Also, some pictures showing change are contained.
