LIVING WITH KANG AND PLANNING SYSTEM OF FARMHOUSE IN SHENG YANG : Study on the northern life style in Northeast China(Architectural Planning and Design)

Abstract

We researched the house plan, living style of houses in Shen Yang, northeast China. We cleared how to use a Kang and living conditions of houses. We can find the tipycal northern life style that people use a Kang as original heating system and they have unique activities on the Kang. Many life work is developing on the Kang, for example sleeping, eating, firesude, relax and so on. A Kang is most important system ranked in northeast China.
