A STUDY ON HOUSING NEEDS AND HOME MODIFICATIONS OF MIDDLE-AGED PEOPLE WHICH CONSIDERED THE ADVANCED AGE TERM(Architectural Planning and Design)

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to clarify the way of living of middle-aged people (50-64 years old people) when they get older. We conduct the questionnaire survey for middle-aged people who lives in Kizu-cho, Kyoto. The results are as follows : 1) 60% of them think about the living plan of their advanced age term. 2) If they become alone, 30-40% of them hope that they continue to live in the present house, but other people are going to choose place from various choices. 3) Over 60 years old, they suffer inconvenience with their house and improve their house.
