Abstract

Yamane is one of the organizers of the symposium based on the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research by JSPS.  The aims and perspectives of this symposium are explained by him. We focus on the activities of human agencies in modernized Japanese towns and areas, in order to understand the regional formation process..
