Abstract

Patient: The patient was a 63-year-old female. Her chief complaint was chewing deficiency due to missing mandibular molars with extrusion of the opposing molar regions. The bilateral free-end partially edentulous mandible was occlusally reconstructed by implant fixed prosthetic treatment for the edentulism and crown restorations for the opposing teeth.

Discussion: The fixed prosthetic treatment enhanced masticatory function. Three years and 6 months after delivery of the prosthesis, the implants and remaining teeth were maintained by a regular maintenance program. In addition, clinical performance was assisted based on occlusal examination, diagnosis, and potentially by the low risk factor for implant failure of the patient.

Conclusion: The implant fixed prosthetic treatment of providing occlusal support without damaging the implants and the opposing teeth, as well as maintenance, resulted in a good course for 3 years and 6 months after installation of the prosthesis.
