Abstract

In a super-aging society, the importance of house call dentistry is increasing. Elderly people and persons with disabilities who need home-visit dental treatment require dysphagia rehabilitation in addition to general dental treatment. Diagnosis and rehabilitation planning are important in dysphagia rehabilitation. As a dentist, it is also important to be familiar with compensatory approaches that apply dental prosthetics. Inserting devices into the oral cavity is a monopoly for dentists, and there are strong demands from other professions in team medical care as well. In this article, I will explain the adaptation and manufacturing method of clinically effective PAP: Palatal Augmentation Prosthesis and PLP: Palatal lift prosthesis.
