Livestock sanchoku (direct transactions between consumers and producers) in cooperatives are losing their important features as a result of the difficulty of coordinating supply and demand, marketing in the livestock industry, problems resulting from the externalization of supply and demand coordinate functions, and the difficulty of obtaining information due to the increasingly large size of livestock farms. In order to address these problems, the livestock sanchoku must determine which functions must be externalized and which functions must be performed internally, and coop must be established to undertake business responsibility. This can be achieved by increasing the information gathering capabilities of livestock farms, and improvement of business operating ability in the cooperatives.
