Crystal Structure and Synthesis of 17α-Acetoxy-6-methylene-4-pregnene-3,20-dione

Abstract

C₂₄H₃₂O₄ is orthorhombic, P2₁2₁2₁. The unit-cell dimensions are a = 9.9463(5), b = 11.1616(6), c = 18.8287(9)Å, V = 2090.30(18)ų, D_x = 1.222 g/cm³, and Z = 4. The A, B, C and D rings adopt between envelope and half-chair, deformed chair, deformed chair and half-chair conformations. The molecules in the crystal are packed at normal van der Waals distances.
