N-Substituted thioformylhydroxylamine derivatives represented by the general formula ^R _HO-N-C-^S _H were synthesized and examined for antimicrobial activity. These compounds were analogues of an antibiotic thioformin which was confirmed to be N-methyl-N-thioformylhydroxylamine.
