The second experiments were conducted with white rats utilizing single nutritives, protein, fat and carbohydrate. One hour after feeding starved rats, the bile-capillaries temporarily enlarged, being most remarkable in the case of fat-feeding.
The structure changes of the plastosomes in the hepatic cells after feeding were most remarkable after fat-feeding, less active after carbohydrate-feeding and least active after protein-feeding.
