Most of chemical companies have their own methods for risk ranking of equipment from their know-how and engineer's expert knowledge, but those methods have no flexibility and no clear relationships between the selected items. This paper studies the automatic hazard evaluation of the risk ranking using the object oriented information flow and Multi-Distinction Equipment Algorithm. From the case study, we could find the flexibility of this risk ranking method and suggest the risk level of the equipment in LPG underground storage process. And we also developed the web-based prototype of hazard evaluation system, which can be organized with other existing managing systems in company.
