The polymer particles were prepared by the precipitation polymerization in supercritical CO₂ (scCO₂). The polymer particle including the nano-size TiO₂ was successfully obtained. The effect of experimental conditions such as monomer concentration, CO₂ pressure and kinds of monomers on the particle size was investigated. The particle size decreased as the compatibility between the polymer and scCO₂ increased. In addition, the dispersion polymerization was carried out by using Krytox as a stabilizer. The addition of the stabilizer was very effective to obtain the mono-dispersed discrete particles.
