Determination and Correlation of Excess Molar Enthalpies of CO₂ + Dimethyl Carbonate System

The excess molar enthalpies (H^E) of the carbon dioxide + dimethyl carbonate system were measured in the vicinity of the critical point of carbon dioxide using a flow-type isothermal microcalorimeter at temperature 308.15K and pressures from 5.0 to 7.5 MPa. Mixtures showed very exothermic behavior in those region and a strong pressure dependency of H^E was also observed, and the values of H^E decreased according to the increase of pressure. The experimental results were correlated using the Mayers-Scott equation.
