Some Noteworthy Orchids from Sikkim, India

Abstract

Coelogyne phitamii, previously known only from Vietnam, is reported as new to the flora of India and nine orchids new to flora of the Sikkim Himalaya (Bulbophyllum forrestii, Coelogyne chinensis, C. bulleyia, C. micrantha, Dendrobium brymerianum, D. capillipes, D. darjeelingense, D. pendulum and Goodyera viridiflora) are also reported. Details for each species along with color photographs are provided.
