Abstract
In this paper, we examined potentiality of making an original website for exchange-oriented community building in a participatory manner from a planological point of view and pointed out both the internal and external merits in preparing the website of the community. We developed the website of Hattoji Furusato-mura in Okayama prefecture as a case study area and confirmed the internal effects of making it. The author insisted that the three elements of rural-urban exchange strategy, community building and making a website have powerful affinity for each other and may bring synergetic effects on the community.
