Abstract
This study clarifies requirements to promote the cooperation of community residents in the roadside station (MICHINOEKI).
In conclusion, it is necessary for local government and the management department of MICHINOEKI to do the following; (1) Providing the opportunity that the community residents participate in decision making, (2) Trying for the right stuff in the right place in consideration of the attribute of community residents, (3) Establishing a base of activities for the community residents, especially women and the aged, (4) Supporting the community residents to reduce risks and to expedite the raising of funds, (5) Giving the community residents discretionary authority.
