Abstract
15 kinds of pharmaceuticals were measured for 8 sampling points in the rural rivers. It was clarified that all of the sampling points was contaminated with various pharmaceuticals. Ultraviolet absorber, insect repellents, and anti-inflammatory analgesic antipyretic were detected in higher concentration in the all sampling points than in the urban river. Ketoprofen (anti-inflammatory analgesic antipyretic for mainly internal use) was estimated as the highest risk contaminants in the measured contaminants in this research for aquatic ecosystem. Ketoprofen was only detected in the river having many Gappei-shori johkasou. These results indicated the potential significance of measures to pharmaceuticals pollution in rural area.
