Abstract
The authors developed a new system using specified low power radio station to monitor various data in irrigation and drainage facilities. The characteristic of this system is that the installation cost of apparatus is low, and communication cost is free of charge. In this paper, we applied this system to monitor and control water level in farm ponds or irrigation channels. In conclusion, we propose the importance of data monitoring because we can understand the actual behavior of irrigation and drainage facilities, and diagnose the hydraulic performance degradation by these data.
