Abstract

The characteristics of reconstruction process of farming families are different from ordinary disaster victims. In this study, we conducted the hearing survey to damaged farming families to clarify their reconstruction process of the Kumamoto earthquake and we organized elements of their living conditions in chronological order. As a results of this study are as follows; the priority of continuation of agriculture is high for farming families, and they tend to seek refuge at their barn or storehouse without public shelter. Moreover, even if their damages are small, damaged farming families need united efforts of others in their reconstruction process.
