In this paper, we carried out the location analysis of allotment gardens for the aged in the city of Gifu, Japan, using Geographic Information System (GIS). The distance from the users homes to the gardens was measured at two ways of direct distance and distance along the road. And some simulation in connection with the user distance were done.
By improving the lot number of the gardens and by the change of the configuration of the users, the user distance was shortened to some extent. And by newly opening the gardens at the city center where any gardens did not exist, the user distance was greatly shortened.
