Abstract
Michi-no-Eki is typical of the complex facilities that is scheduled to take planning process under partnership between residents and administrative authorities. The purpose of this study is to clarify the significance of this community participation through grasping influential effects to rural area. At first we investigated 5 cases in order to address important subjects of the planning, and put questionnaire into practice to whole cases in the country. The results are as follows ; 1) 60% of cases took community participation process in planning to one degree or another ; 2) cases under excellent participatory planning process tend to realize wide-ranging influential effects.
