In this paper we explored the contribution of municipal museum to revitalization of rural community. There are some subject in which staff, a management system such as a budget, and others, the relations with the other department in the museum. We analyzed potentials of municipal museums on these functions by case studies in Tono museum. The results are that the Tono museums have enogh abilities to contribute to revitalization of rural community.
