This study focuses in long-range trend of personal trip in Okayama prefecture that was surveyed from 1979 to 2000. It is clarified that the hierarchy of the destination has completely changed. Mode shift of residents to automobiles performs very important role to accelerate this trend. Especially, centripetal force of agricultural local center, such as Tsuyama city has declined during these 20 years. Moreover, residents in agricultural districts have changed to prefer inexpensive and plentiful stores to conventional personal service, like residents in urban area.
