Abstract
The farmlands located in urban fringe areas have been segmented and abandoned under high urbanization pressure. However, there was little knowledge about quantitative tendency of farmland, which located in outer suburbs where large-scale farmland complex were dominated. By clarifying the feature of the distribution of abandoned farmlands and its occurring process in large-scale farmland complex, it was revealed that although the quantitative aspect of farmland was maintained, the quality of agricultural management was declined in these areas.
