Development of Community-based Agricultural Land Lease Model Applying Multi-Agent Systems

For Problem Identification and Decision Making Support on Regional Agriculture Planning

Abstract

Experimental analyses of real social phenomena have been difficult because of physical and ethical limitations. In this research, we developed a model that predicts process of change in agricultural structure by Community-based Agricultural Land Lease model (CALL model) applying Multi-Agent Systems (MAS). The CALL model is a simulation model based on artificial society in computer. The CALL model is expected to be a new approach to overcome these difficulties. Though the model should be further improved, it would be able to provide crucial information for local agricultural planning.
