Abstract
I. Purpose To compare effectiveness of the parallel type with effectiveness of the integrated type of the use of instructional TV programs in science teaching. Parallel type : Teacher puts to use in parallel TV programs with the textbook program. Integrated type : He teaches a course that the textbook program is integrated with TV programs. In that case, the sequence of the textbook program is changed in TV programs order, II. Hypotheses There is no significant difference in effectiveness of the parallel type and the integrated type. Therefore the parallel type is more favorable than the other in conveniency and simplicity. III. Procedure (Subjects) 5th grade children of the elementary schools in Morioka [figure] V. Conclusion After one year of experiment two type classes were compared in achievement score of science. There was no significance difference. So, on the use of instructional TV programs in science teaching, we can conclude that the parallel type is more favorable than the integrated type.
