This study clarified continued nursing for fertility in childhood cancer survivors. The researcher conducted semi-structured interviews with two certified nurses : one of them specializing in infertility and the other in child health. Interview results were analyzed using the open coding methods of the Grounded Theory Approach. Nurses from different departments and positions worked toward the same goals : “planting seeds that lead to consultations with reproductive medicine specialists” and “assistance for life.” Nurses were aware of their own weaknesses in working with childhood cancer survivors and try to fulfill their duties to the best of their abilities. The results of this study show that a clearer understanding of the differences between nurses can result in better teamwork among them.
