Abstract

The outline of this report has already been published as a short communication¹⁾²⁾ concerning the secondary hydroxyl group of gibberellin A₁, which was proved to be C-2 of its carbon skeleton. The relative position of the secondary hydroxyl group and lactone carbonyl are subsequently deter-mined, and, finally, the attaching position of the lactone carbonyl was proved to be C-3 of its carbon skeleton.
