γ-Glutamyltranspeptidase activity during germination of soybean was very low in 0_??_24 hours of germination, but reached a maximum in 40_??_48 hours and decreased remarkably after 72 hours. The change in activity agreed with the variations in the amount of γ-glutamyltyrosine and γ-glutamylphenylalanine during germination.
